Rupert's Report--Week 2
Woof! It has been an incredibly busy week at Ballyhenry and I have absolutely loved every minute of it! It was Anti-Bullying Week, and I was honoured to be a part of such an important initiative. On Monday, I proudly wore my poppy, and can you believe we raised a fantastic £219.48 for the Poppy Appeal? On Tuesday, I was all set to wear my odd socks, but let’s be honest—dogs don’t really wear socks! I ended up with my paws free to run about instead. On Wednesday, I had the joy of handing out tags to recognise some of the kind humans who have shown me love and support; it felt great to give back! I even got interviewed by the BBC about Positive Noticing Day, but alas, I didn’t make the cut! Still, I felt so proud of the boys who did get to spread the word on the importance of being caught getting it right! Did you hear their words of wisdom on Evening Extra on Friday? On Thursday, I wore purple and reminded my new friends to "choose respect," which was a lovely experience. By Friday, my heart swelled with pride as my P4 friends presented a fantastic assembly for Anti-Bullying Week! On top of all that, I also kicked off my therapy training, which was wonderful—I was overjoyed to see some of my sisters again; we're all working in schools and have so much to learn together. I even spent time at school over the weekend supervising the end of the external building works! It looks absolutely amazing now! I can’t wait to have the run of the newly grassy playground! Let’s all remember to stay off the dirt while it grows back healthy and strong. I wonder what exciting adventures await us this week!
